Ridgewood Energy

Prior to founding the Ridgewood Companies, Robert Swanson was a tax partner at the law firm of Fulop & Hardee, where he specialized in personal tax and financial planning. In 1982, as an evolution of this practice, Bob Swanson formed Ridgewood Energy. This series of investment programs organized and operated oil, natural gas and other related natural resource investment programs and one business trust.

Ridgewood Power

In 1991, Ridgewood Power was established to manage a new series of investment programs focusing on the independent electric power generation industry. Since its inception, Ridgewood Power has sponsored eleven investment programs that have invested primarily in the electric power generating industry and in similar, environmentally friendly processing facilities such as water desalinization plants.

In 1998, Ridgewood Capital was formed to take advantage of the dramatic growth in the technology sector. Since inception, we have actively recruited top talent from leading technology companies and top tier investment banks.
