Our Strategy – Find companies with existing customer demand

Ridgewood Capital's investment strategy is to build a diverse portfolio of private technology companies needing expansion capital, companies with rapidly growing backlogs. We seek out the fastest growing companies across multiple industries including: Semiconductors, Wireless Communications, Energy, Nano Materials and Software. Ridgewood invests in companies with defensible intellectual property, experienced management, growing revenues, high margins and strong customers. Ridgewood does not make health care investments

Our Approach– Superior Due Diligence

Ridgewood undertakes a stringent due diligence process for every potential investment. We consciously limit the number of investments we make to ensure that when a company becomes a member of the Ridgewood portfolio, it gets the support it needs to succeed. Ridgewood typically acts as a lead or co-lead, initially investing between $2 and $5 million. Funds are also set aside to invest in a company's follow-on rounds of financing. This capital allocation strategy underlies Ridgewood's long-term investment philosophy: to continue to support and invest in our portfolio companies as they grow and mature.
